How to choose a tote bag size
Size is width x height x gusset, in inches. Width and height set what fits. The gusset is the depth of the base: too shallow and a bag will not stand or hold bulky items. Add about one inch to the width and height of the flat items you carry, then pick the gusset from the total volume. This guide does that sum for you.

What size hamper bag suits corporate gifting?
For a sweets box or a small gift set, 8 x 10 x 5 in or 10 x 12 x 5.5 in works well. A fuller corporate hamper usually needs 12 x 14 x 5.5 in up to 16 x 14 x 6 in, in jute of about 350 GSM. Measure your largest box and confirm with a sample.
What size drawstring bag holds 3 kg?
For about 3 kg of clothes, shoes or kit, choose a flat size of 12 x 14 in to 14 x 16 in in cotton of 220 GSM or more, with double-stitched seams. Soft items pack down, hard items need more room.
What size tote bag fits a laptop?
A 14 inch laptop needs a bag about 14 inches wide and 11 inches tall inside, so a 14 x 16 in tote is a safe size. A padded sleeve needs a little more.
What does gusset mean on a tote bag?
The gusset is the depth of the bag, measured at the base. A 4 inch gusset gives a bag that stands up and holds boxes or bottles. A flat bag has no gusset.
What size is a standard tote bag?
A common cotton tote is about 14 to 15 inches wide and 15 to 16 inches tall. Smaller bags around 10 x 12 in suit books and small retail. Larger bags over 16 x 14 in suit groceries.
What GSM should a grocery tote be?
For groceries, ask for medium to heavy weight: roughly 220 GSM and up in cotton, 300 GSM and up in canvas or jute, with reinforced handles.
